The field practice in Geology of Bulgaria aims to introduce students to the geological settings in real outcrops of already studied during the theoretical course concepts for the principles and methods of the tectonic division of Bulgaria, types of boundaries between tectonic units, the inner structure of the units as lithological sequences (representative sections of the single systems, their facial characteristics, lateral relations, age, thickness, architecture, etc.), the time, style and features of the deformation, tectonic position, regional aspects, etc. The practice gives opportunities for students to attain more regional vision on the geology of Bulgaria and to use the theoretical knowledge together with the practical geological environment in the field.
