The course provides basic knowledge and initiates undergraduate students in geology. Structure and composition of the Earth’s crust as well as some aspects of its historical evolution and principles of geochronology are considered. Basic features of structural forms and tectonic processes, which operate within the lithosphere are introduced. The course also deals with the main geological processes modeling Earth’s surface and interior.
